ABOUT VOLUME 1: NOTATIONS

Volume 1: Notations is a collection of solution-lessons covering mathematical and scientific notation from a wide range of subjects(textbooks), including basic algebra, college mathematics, engineering, tensor calculus, engineering, ..., theoretical physics, and other PLEM disciplines.

The goal of this volume is to help students entering college—or already pursuing a PLEM or STEM degree—learn how to interpret the many notation systems used throughout textbooks and research literature. Rather than becoming confused by different symbols and terminology, students will learn how to recognize equivalent notation, adapt to the conventions of each author, and identify the important details that are often overlooked.

Each volume in The Ultimate Crash Course for PLEM Majors is designed to support a different stage of a student's academic journey via semester or level of education/interest.
